I’ve been lucky enough to visit some incredible places over the years…

But every now and then, somewhere comes along that completely steals your heart.

For me, this was one of those places.

Silhouette Island is wild, untouched, unbelievably green, and home to some of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen.

It’s 63 million years old (let that sink in) and is 97% national park. Despite only 300 ish inhabitants (mostly guests of the one hotel and one guesthouse), it’s the 3rd biggest island in the Seychelles. Hidden gem alert.

It has the world’s smallest frog, rarest bat, giant tortoises and 7 species of crab. As well as plentiful marine life! Paradise.

What a privilege it was for little me to experience somewhere so special.

Meanwhile, I’m wobbling around a hotel on a bicycle while my partner provides live commentary on my downfalls.

Thankfully, being good at Instagram isn’t a requirement for being a bloody great travel agent 🙃

And as for my partner? 10/10 commentary. 0/10 emotional support. 🤣

So this is your reminder, as much as mine, to take a moment and look back.

This was the third trip I’ve planned for Jess & Danny, and I absolutely LOVE booking their holidays because their travel style is so similar to my own.
