Booking a holiday and booking the right holiday are two very different things. ✈️💕

Of course you can do it yourself.

Most of us can cut our own hair, move our own house, cook our own meals… but sometimes we choose not to.

Sometimes we’d rather hand something over to someone who does it every day, knows what to look for, and can make the whole experience easier, and often, better.

That’s exactly how we should see travel too.

My job isn’t just to “book a holiday”. It’s to help you make the right choices, avoid the things that aren’t worth it, find the little details you might never have come across yourself, and be there if anything goes wrong along the way.

So yes, you absolutely can do it yourself.

But sometimes, it’s so much better to use an expert.

Still unsure? Give me the chance to show you the difference. Enquire via my website and let’s start planning.

Officially a travel agent, unofficially - a lot more than that!

Small business owners will know that we end up wearing about a million different hats… and working in travel takes that to another level entirely!

Therapist, accountant, magician, psychic, concierge, detective… whatever the day requires.

But in all seriousness, it’s actually one of the things I love most about my job. No two days are ever the same, no two trips are ever the same, and no two clients need exactly the same thing.

I always say to my clients: if we can help, we will. No matter how random, complicated or seemingly impossible the request might be.

Because to me, that’s what real personal service is all about.

I had a lot of fun making this - which uniform do you think suits me best?! 🤣

Turns out planning the perfect holiday is actually pretty simple…

You tell me what you’re thinking, and I’ll take care of the rest.

Flights, hotels, transfers, experiences, all the logistics… and the little details that make a trip really special.

Every trip, completely tailor-made around you.

Basically - you get excited. I’ll do the work. 🦸🏻‍♀️💪🏼

I think that’s what travel keeps reminding me 🥹

To slow down, notice the little things, and try to be more present.

To just take it all in, and fall a little bit more in love with this life while I’m living it.

Because we only live once. 💕

Day 8… Sri Lanka’s south coast 🌊

We arrived at @uga_prava in the dark the night before, so waking up to THAT view from my bed was the best surprise!

I’d loved being surrounded by mountains, jungle and tea country, but to me there’s just nothing like being by the ocean.

Some of the group headed to Udawalawe for a half day elephant game drive - it’s only around two hours from the south coast, so such a great option for wildlife lovers - but I chose to stay and enjoy the hotel.

A dreamy massage, cooling down in the pool, reading my book, soaking up the views, all to the sound of ocean waves crashing below.

We finished the day with sunset afternoon tea on the rocks, cocktails in Hiriketiya (such a cool little town I want to come back to) and a 7 course dinner by the bonfire.

I felt so grateful to have the day to relax, take it all in and reflect on what had been such an incredible trip.

A huge thank you to @hummingbirdtravel_srilanka and our amazing guide @sanka_alongtheway for this experience. It’s been one to remember.

Now that’s an ocean view! 🤩 🌊

This was my room at @uga_prava, a tiny luxury hotel on Sri Lanka’s south coast, with just 7 ocean facing suites, beautifully designed interiors, and a whopping 41m seafront clifftop infinity pool.

The rooms are huge and made to completely maximise the amazing setting - enormous windows, a private terrace and uninterrupted views straight out across the Indian Ocean. Serious wow factor vibes.

I could have spent hours just sitting here watching the waves roll in, and listening to them crash onto the rocks below.

I’ve had some incredible hotel views over the years, but this has to be up there with the very best.

If you’re someone who loves a good view as much as I do… save this one.

Sri Lanka Inland Adventures 🐒🌱🐘🚂🌳⛰️

Days 5-7 in Sri Lanka were all about tea plantations, factory visits, sunsets over Hatton Valley, wildlife tracking, trail cam footage, spa treatments, waterfalls, elephants & monkeys, ridiculous views and THE bucket-list train ride through tea country.

Not forgetting the endless amazing food and hospitality - these few days were some of my favourite ever experienced on a work trip.

Sri Lanka - you’ve got it all!

Just call me princess 👸🏻

I think @uga_halloowella might be one of my favourite places I’ve ever stayed. I completely fell in love with it.

I felt instantly at home from the moment I arrived, and was genuinely sad to leave.

I feel so grateful that I get to experience places like this through my job, and even more so that I now get to send my own clients here knowing exactly how special it is first hand.

Sri Lanka has completely blown me away.

It’s worth the hype 🚂🇱🇰 Nuwara Eliya → Ella

The scenic train through Sri Lanka’s tea country is one of those experiences you see absolutely everywhere before you come… and it lived up to all expectations! Loved every second.

Rolling through mountains, tea plantations, tiny villages and endless green scenery, all while hanging out of the windows - I can see why dogs enjoy it so much 🙃

Apparently, views this good turn fully grown adults into excitable little kids.

One of my favourite experiences in Sri Lanka. It’s a must.

Love to my new travel buddy @travelwithmattc - thank you for making this trip even better 💕

Welcome to beautiful @uga_halloowella

I’ve spent the past 2 nights staying in Sri Lanka’s tea country. Uga Halloowella is a restored former planter’s bungalow with just 6 suites, so it feels much more like staying in a beautiful private home than a traditional hotel. It’s so peaceful and relaxing, with that proper home-away-from-home feeling… and has some of the best views I’ve ever seen from a hotel.

It’s such a perfect place to come and relax in the most stunning surroundings, after a few busy days exploring Sri Lanka’s Cultural Triangle.

Stays are all-inclusive, with breakfast, lunch, dinner and selected drinks included. There’s an infinity pool, heated jacuzzi and spa treatments, and if you do want to explore, there are tea experiences, habitat walks for a plethora of local wildlife, sections of the Pekoe Trail to hike and kayaking on Castlereagh Reservoir nearby.

But really, it’s the setting that makes this place so special. For me, this is by far one of the most spectacular locations in all of Sri Lanka’s tea country.

I spent 3 nights at @santani_wellness but it felt like I was there for farrrrr longer!

This place is SO special, and what I loved most was seeing just how much there is to experience there.

Across the three days we had a consultation with the resident wellness doctor, drinks around the bonfire, a 7-course dinner, a guided nature trek through the jungle, a 90-minute spa treatment, sound healing, morning Hatha yoga, a tea experience and a Sri Lankan cooking demonstration in possibly the most scenic location ever.

We also got a little sneak peek at the new multi-bedroom private pool villas, and all I can say is wow. 😍

And the FOOD. Honestly unbelievable. There are no menus at Santani - everything is curated daily by the chef and created around your dietary requirements - so every meal is completely different and you never know what’s coming next.

Then every night I’d get into bed and fall asleep to nothing but the sounds of nature outside my room.

You can fit so much into a stay here, but it never feels loud or busy. Everything feels very considered, peaceful and connected to the surroundings.

And I couldn’t have asked for a better group to experience it with. The loveliest bunch of fellow travel agents, and we have not stopped laughing.

Santani is difficult to properly explain until you’ve been. It’s not wellness in the obvious, traditional sense. It’s the whole experience - the food, movement, treatments, nature, surroundings and the feeling of being completely removed from normal life. An entire stay designed to calm your mind and leave you feeling better in every sense.

I arrived knowing Santani was going to be different.

I left thinking it’s one of the most unique hotels I’ve ever stayed in.

Thank you @santani_wellness @hummingbirdtravel_srilanka @bespokeearthltd for this incredible opportunity.

Somewhere Special…✨

Hidden away in the mountains outside Kandy, @santani_wellness is one of the most unique places I’ve ever stayed.

This is a wellness lover’s dream, but in a way that feels completely different to a traditional spa hotel. The magic is in the whole experience - treatments, daily yoga, scenic walks, cultural touches, incredible food, beautiful surroundings and the feeling of being completely immersed in nature.

Everything here feels so intentional. Every single aspect of Santani has been designed to help you slow down, switch off and create a real sense of calm and wellbeing.

You can come for one of their dedicated wellness programmes, or simply spend a few nights here as part of a wider Sri Lanka itinerary and use it as a proper reset.

Peaceful, beautiful, incredibly special… and somewhere I’ll definitely be recommending to the right clients.

I’m so grateful to have experienced it for myself.

Touchdown in Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 First stop: Negombo

I spent the night at @uga_riva in Negombo and I can already think of so many clients I’d love to send here.

It’s only around 30 minutes from the airport, has just 7 rooms, loads of character, tropical gardens, a gorgeous pool and is SO incredibly peaceful.

Of course, if you’re trying to squeeze as much as possible into your Sri Lanka itinerary, you can absolutely land and head straight off on your travels - and plenty of my clients do. Same on the way home!

But if you have an extra night to play with, this is such a lovely, relaxed way to start or finish a touring trip. And something I’ll be recommending going forward.

The best bit is that it doesn’t feel like a wasted night near the airport. Uga Riva is somewhere you’d actually want to stay. It’s beautiful, intimate and full of charm, so it still feels very much part of the holiday.

Definitely one I’ll be keeping in mind for future Sri Lanka itineraries.

Now onto Kandy… this next place is somewhere very very special. I can’t wait to show you more…
